MURDER, MAYHEM, AND BROWN SAUCE
ON THE WEST COAST OF SCOTLAND
Featuring the elderly James Munro and the spritely Charlotte West,
this acclaimed series uniquely charts the development of the protagonists'
personal relationship, as well as that of their sidekicks, the bookish
DS Dougal McCrae and the streetwise DS Duncan Reid.
Interspersed with humour as dry as a drought-ridden loch, the million-selling
series addresses a diverse range of crimes and uncovers the motives behind
some of Scotland's more unusual offences whilst the members of the team
endeavour to sate their voracious appetites.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Having squandered thirty years designing furniture, record covers, wine labels, and websites in London, Paris, and New York, the somewhat reclusive Pete Brassett returned to his native Scotland soon after the publication of his first novel.
He lives in the fictional enclave of Thistledonia on the west coast of Scotland and spends his time doting on his miniature Schnauzer whilst dreaming up convoluted plots with ridiculously long sentences.
He would like to thank his supremely professional publisher, The Book Folks,
for signing a rocket when the rest of the literary world turned their backs.
There is no news page on this website as nothing interesting has happened in Thistledonia since a pine marten clambered down the chimney four years ago.
"Once you meet DI Munro and his team, you fall in love with every book...Pete Brassett writes plots with more twists and turns than a labyrinth. The characters' interactions and the humour mixed with 'whodunnit' questions make every book a page-turner."
